I tried the viral Titanium Lift at House of Gaia in Hong Kong (+ four other treatments in the same morning)

"Your face looks so small!" That was the first thing a friend said to me when we met for lunch, less than 24 hours after my pamper marathon including the viral Korean Titanium Lift at House of Gaia. Founded by renowned Hong Kong aesthetic doctor Dr. Lisa Chan, HOUSE OF GAIA was created as a sanctuary for women.

As a mother herself, Dr. Chan envisioned a space where busy mums could step away from the demands of everyday life and focus on feeling their best through a curated range of aesthetic and wellness treatments. From the moment I arrived, it felt noticeably different from a traditional clinic.

I loved the thoughtful details throughout the space, from artwork painted by Dr. Lisa herself to the menu of healing teas offered before each session. The atmosphere is warm, calming and welcoming - more retreat than medical centre.

I went in for a full morning of treatments, including Titanium Lift, Onda Pro, Emsculpt Neo, BTL Exilis and Emsella. Here's everything I tried, and what you need to know about each one.

Titanium Lift: The Korean Treatment Everyone Seems To Be Talking About

The treatment that initially caught my attention was Titanium Lift, a non-invasive Korean laser treatment that has become super popular across Asia. Unlike traditional lifting treatments that focus on a single layer of the skin, Titanium Lift uses three different laser wavelengths simultaneously to target multiple layers at once. The goal is to stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity and create a lifting and contouring effect, particularly around the jawline, cheeks and lower face. The technology was adapted from laser platforms originally used for hair removal, with settings redesigned to focus on skin tightening and facial rejuvenation.

One reason for its popularity is that there is virtually no downtime. The treatment is often described as delivering brightening, tightening and sculpting benefits in a single session, which has earned it the nickname "BTS Laser" in Korea.

In terms of sensation, I found it so comfortable and painless. There was warmth, but none of the discomfort I had expected from a treatment marketed as a lifting procedure (e.g. Thermage - a treatment that felt more like torture and one I will NEVER do again). On the pain scale, Titanium Lift is a 0. And yet, the results it delivers is absolutely mind-blowing. My V-shape was SO pronounced right afterwards, and I was very happy with the immediate results, with results yet to develop.

BTL Exilis: For Firmer Skin Around The Face And Eyes

Next was BTL Exilis, which was performed around my face and eye area. Exilis combines radiofrequency and ultrasound energy to gently heat deeper layers of the skin. This thermal stimulation encourages the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins responsible for keeping skin firm and resilient. Over time, this can help improve skin texture, laxity and the appearance of fine lines.

One thing I found interesting is that Exilis is used across both face and body treatments. On the face, it is often chosen to address areas such as the jawline, cheeks and delicate eye area, where collagen loss tends to become more noticeable with age. Of all the treatments I tried that day, this was probably the most relaxing. I asked to do both lower face and around the eyes to add plumpness + lift, and the results were extraordinary combined with Titanium Lift.

Onda Pro: Targeting Stubborn Areas Around The Waist

For body contouring, I also tried Onda Pro around my waistline. Onda Pro uses Coolwaves™, a proprietary microwave technology designed to target stubborn fat deposits while simultaneously stimulating collagen within the skin. The treatment is commonly used on areas such as the abdomen, waist, thighs and under the chin, where diet and exercise alone don't always produce the desired result.

What appealed to me was that it wasn't positioned as a replacement for exercise, but rather as a treatment aimed at addressing areas that can be frustratingly resistant despite an otherwise healthy lifestyle. I could tell just how much heat was being given off to "burn" fat. The cooling head kept things manageable, but there were moments when I really felt the burn and had to ask the therapist to cool it down a little!

Emsculpt Neo: The Treatment That Does The Sit-Ups For You

Perhaps the most promoted body treatment? If you've ever wondered what it would feel like if your abdominal muscles suddenly developed a workout routine of their own, this is probably the closest thing.

Emsculpt Neo combines high-intensity electromagnetic energy with radiofrequency heating to trigger thousands of muscle contractions that would be impossible to achieve voluntarily during a normal workout. The treatment is designed to build muscle while also addressing fat in the treatment area. Watching my abs contract involuntarily was equal parts fascinating and mildly alarming. The best description I can give is that it felt like someone else had taken over responsibility for my core workout.

Emsella: The Most Unusual Treatment I Tried

Finally, there was Emsella. If you're unfamiliar with it, Emsella is a pelvic floor strengthening treatment. Patients remain fully clothed while sitting on a specially designed chair that uses high-intensity electromagnetic energy to stimulate pelvic floor muscles. You can feel yourself involuntarily doing kegels when you position yourself in the sweet spot for the electromagnetic waves - it's actually quite wild.

House of Gaia has designed the Emsella room like a cozy cinema, allowing guests to be treated while watching their favourite Netflix show and a soft blanket. Emsella is often recommended for women after childbirth, although many people seek it out simply to improve pelvic floor strength and core support, because why not?
