Jumping on the Korean fried chicken craze is the newly arrived Dodam Chicken, located in Lee Theatre Plaza, Causeway Bay. What sets this chain apart is that it adds a healthy spin to fried chicken, baking the meat at a heat of over 400 degrees centigrade in a pizza oven, and burning away all the extraneous fat. By now, I've visited Dodam around three times and each time, I came away happily stuffed. Here are some of the highlights offered on the menu, a lot of which are their signature favourites from Korea:
Dodam Pizza - this is their signature crispy crusted pizza with a whole salad on top, but I personally prefer their classic margherita! Really love the pizza base they use here.
The signature baked chicken is savoury, crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Nothing more and nothing less than good old comfort food.
Sweet & Spicy Dodam Chicken is one of those things you have to get down and dirty for - but it's totally worth the sticky fingers. Nice crunchy exterior, indulgent sauce and a perfect kick!
This was my favourite dish of them all - the white onion chicken! Super tender chicken pieces engulfed in a creamy white onion sauce, and topped with onion slices. Definitely recommend ordering this on your visit.
