Hidden Japanese Gem URA
As hidden culinary gems go, none catches my attention more than when it claims to boast fresh, seasonal ingredients from Osaka AND a mysterious Japanese beer garden. Might I also mention the all-you-can-drink happy hour for only HK$160 from 5:30pm-7:30pm? I'd never heard of Ura prior to this, despite it being sandwiched between two well-known restaurants (VEA & Momotaro) in The Wellington, and I was excited to give it a try. The Chang brothers, also behind Indonesian restaur

It's across from the entrance to Tasmanian Ballroom (right in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong's nightlife district), which is why Paradis is better known for its Caribbean-inspired cocktails. Now with newly appointed Executive Chef Wes Long helming the kitchen, the restaurant is bringing focus to its re

6 Courses of Chef "El Palanca": Exclusive Pop-up at La Paloma from 16-21 Aug
Chef Alvaro 'el Palanca' Ramos is making his debut at trendy Spanish tapas restaurant La Paloma from 16-21 August only, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a sneak preview of what's to come. The man himself is a pure embodiment of the food he serves: vibrant, quirky and a lover of all things Asian. Like any Spanish meal should, we started off with a glass or ten of Cava and Sangria before settling down to feast. Chef Alvaro's 6-course menu (priced at $398/person) consists of co
